If you’re at The Higgins Museum over the Spring and Summer you might see us appearing on a video performing ‘The Pits that Scarred the Land’ by Graeme Meek.
The video was made by Invisible Folk (Jon Bickley & Steve Yarwood). They were recently commissioned by the Higgins Museum (Bedford) to produce a short film for an exhibition called ‘The Journey From Bunyan to the Brickworks’. It will run from 6 April – 29 September 2019. This short film is going to run continuously throughout the exhibition.
They used the knowledge and experience of David Szymanski (former Managing Director of Hanson Building Products) to make it. He knows the history of Stewartby and its Brickworks. David’s story is complemented by songs written in the folk idiom by local songwriter Graeme Meek.
