Fatea Showcase Session

“Strings” is the latest Fatea Showcase Session. It’s a compilation of new folk and roots orientated music and we’re on it! Whoo!

“Strings” is only available to download until April 30th 2020. Check it out, there’s a lot of new folk music on there. We heard that initially the servers were busy and the session received more UK downloads in the first hour than any of their previous sessions.

Many thanks to Fatea Magazine for included us. What an honour ðŸ™‚

Review from Folking.com

We weren’t really expecting many reviews for our first EP, Bring Us In. The word is that most folk reviewers prefer to cover albums, so we are so pleased that Mike Davies from folking.com took the time to listen and write about us. You can read the whole review on the website.

Our next live show is supporting the amazing Will Pound at The Green Note in Camden on Monday 18th November, for Folk On Monday.

You can get tickets now from The Green Note website for £12.

Halloween Supper Club

On Monday 29th October Bedford’s favourite vegan cafe, Number 13 (it’s next to the Corn Exchange opposite Market Square) will be transformed into a magical venue for their first Supper Club. To celebrate Halloween, their new in-house chef, Mirna, will be cooking an amazing four course seasonal vegan meal and we’ll be providing some atmospheric doom folk music. Eating a vegan banquet whilst listening to us singing about murder is peak Halloween dontcha know!

Come and join us for an evening of sublime food and music in this lovely venue. Price £32.93. Please book by going to eventbrite

Dinner starts at 7:30pm

-Welcome drink and herbed cream ‘cheese’ and cherry tomato bites & marrow-fat pea canapes
-Pumpkin and yellow split pea soup with toasted pumpkin and sunflower seeds
-Pastry wrapped ‘haggis’ served with turnip and potato mash, and red wine gravy

Marisa, Jack & Davy’s debut EP Bring Us In presents an eerie and melancholic take on the British folk tradition. Using rich three-part harmony and fingerstyle guitar underpinned by ghostly organ drones and hypnotic percussion, the trio draw on themes of magic, mystery, murder and the majesty of nature. Recorded by Davy in his front room in Bromham, Bedfordshire, the six song EP is their first release and a product of all they have learned from four years of hosting their folk night in Bedford.
